Blog Submission Guidelines
Toronto Body Mind welcomes blog article contributions from all members of Toronto’s yoga, meditation, and wellness community. We are seeking content that is educational, informative, newsworthy, clever, and stimulating! Although we do not compensate for blog articles, publishing on TBM is a great way to establish yourself in the community. Blog articles link directly to your TBM personal profile. Publish two articles per month and your profile listing is free.
Once your article has been published, we will share it with the community via Facebook, Twitter, our weekly e-newsletter and RSS feed. Here's a few things to keep in mind before you post:
- Submissions should be between 500-1000 words, and may include text, images and video
- Original content only. Please do not submit content that has already been posted elsewhere or that you plan to post elsewhere. You are, however, welcome to post an abstract on your website with a link to the original on TBM.
- All external references should be cited and given reference or credit. Please obtain the copyright holder's written permission for content that you do not own.
- Include a lead image for your article. If you are unable to find a suitable image, we will be happy to create or source one for you.
- Article submissions are not immediately published, but will be held for review by our editors.
- Please do not submit articles that are purely self-promotional or contain links to sites unrelated to the topic. Your article will be automatically linked to your personal profile, where you can provide background and contact info, links to your website, Twitter account, Facebook page, etc.
- TBM promotes a respectful and inclusive community. Content that is deemed hateful or otherwise inappropriate will not be published.
- We prefer that posts do not reflect biased or political content. However, we do encourage posts that engage debate in an inclusive way.
Now that you know the score, go ahead and submit an article! Please contact us with any questions or concerns about blogging on Toronto Body Mind.
